The New Mexico Alcohol Server Education Act mandates that anyone who serves, sells, manages, or owns a liquor licensed establishment in New Mexico, must possess a valid Alcohol Server Permit.

Certification & Classes
CAST of New Mexico is authorized to issue IMMEDIATE certifications after the succcesful completion of the class. Classes are also convienently offered in several communities outside of the Albuquerque area, and offered almost DAILY at 7421 Menaul Blvd, NE

We Provide Alcohol Certification Classes for New Mexico
CAST of NM is the premier and most thorough alcohol certification provider in New Mexico! More and more of New Mexicos alcohol establishments, servers, and sellers, depend on CAST to meet all of their alcohol certification needs. Classes are completed in a timely, professional manner, and are among the least costly in New Mexico
CAST of New Mexico proudly serves the communities of Albuquerue, Belen, Bernalillo, Raton, and Rio Rancho.



WHAT WE OFFER
CAST Classes are unlike any other offered in New Mexico
CAST classes provide all of the state-required training, including: NM state laws and regulations, the effects of alcohol, DWI related facts and liabilities, recognizing signs of intoxication, BAC calculations for patrons, and law enforcement practices.

Instructor
Instructor/Owner, Rick Sandoval (formerly with DWI Resource Center), has over 28 of experience in the Food and Beverage and Criminal Justice fields.
While with the DWI Resource center, Mr.Sandoval worked closely with the Special Investigations Division (SID) of the Department of Public Safety, the Alcohol and Gaming Division, NMSP, BCSD, APD, and is a former Advisory Board member of the Albuquerque Police Department’s Party Patrol.
He also began his career as a server, licensed bartender, and bar manager (1958-1992).
Partcipants enjoy and appreciate his comedic yet professional training style.

Backround
New Mexico was one of the first states to enact a mandatory alcohol server certification.
New Mexico Statutes Annotated 1978, Chapter 60, Article 6E, officially known as the New Mexico Alcohol Server Education Program.
The Program is often referred to as “alcohol training”, “alcohol certification”, “alcohol permit/license”, and/or “alcohol class”.

Why This Is Important
New Mexico’s Alcohol Server Education Program is an integral component of DWI prevention in the Land of Enchantment. Alcohol-related problems and DWI crash fatalities continue to be alarming, and New Mexico consistently ranks near the top among all States in both drug, and alcohol-related deaths, including: alcohol-related crash fatalities, pedestrian fatalities, bicycle fatalities, and motorcycle fatalities by population.
