C.A.S.T. of NM is the PREMIER and most THOROUGH alcohol certification provider in NM!! More and more of New Mexico's alcohol establishments, servers, and sellers, depend on C.A.S.T. to meet all of their alcohol certification training needs. Classes are completed in a

PROFESSIONAL manner, and are among the
LEAST COSTLY in New Mexico.
The New Mexico Alcohol Server Education Act mandates that anyone who serves, sells, manages, or owns a liquor licensed establishment in New Mexico, must possess a valid Alcohol Server Permit. C.A.S.T. classes provide all of the state-required training, to include: NM state laws and regulations, the effects of alcohol, DWI related facts and liabilities, recognizing signs of intoxication, BAC calculations for patrons, and law enforcement practices.
C.A.S.T. classes are NOT like any other offered in NM!! Instructor/Owner, Rick Sandoval (formerly with DWI Resource Center), has over 28 years of experience in the Food & Beverage and Criminal Justice fields. While with the DWI Resource Center, Mr. Sandoval worked closely with the Special Investigations Division (SID) of the Department of Public Safety, the Alcohol and Gaming Division, NMSP, BCSD, APD, and is a former Advisory Board member of the Albuquerque Police Department's Party Patrol. He also began his career as a server, licensed bartender, and bar manager (1985-1992), and participants ENJOY and APPRECIATE his COMEDIC yet professional training style. PLEASE COME PREPARED TO HAVE FUN WHILE YOU LEARN!
Mr. Sandoval served as the Director of the NM Juvenile Parole Board (2003-05), and various positions with the District Attorney's Office (2nd Judicial), YDDC/Camino Nuevo, Juvenile Probation and Parole, APS, UNM, and Project Manager/NewMAST Instructor for the DWI Resource Center. He is a native New Mexican and received his B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of New Mexico in 1992. While at UNM, he was a refounding father of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. GO LOBOS!!
C.A.S.T. of NM is authorized to issue IMMEDIATE certifications after the successful completion of the class. Classes are also conveniently offerred in several communities outside the Albuquerque area, and offered almost DAILY at 7421 Menaul Blvd., NE. (Please see CLASS SCHEDULE page for more information).
New Mexico was one of the first States to enact a mandatory alcohol server certification (NM Statutes Annotated 1978, Chapter 60, Article 6E, officially known as the New Mexico Alcohol Server Education Program. The Program is often referred to as "alcohol training", "alcohol certification", "alcohol permit/license", and/or "alcohol class".

Alcohol-related problems and DWI crash fatalities continue to be alarming, and New Mexico consistently ranks near the top among all States in both drug and alcohol-related deaths. This also includes: alcohol related crash fatalities, pedestrian fatalities, bicycle fatalities, and motorcycle fatalities by population.
